Left Brunei on 9th September evening and landed at Tullamarine airport the following day.

It was of course, THE BEST TRIP EVER! Why? Because I had friends who I still care about :) Thank you for making this stay an awesome and memorable experience! aside that I wanted to pick up my red wii :p

The Weekend with company

Yesterday, we had a company thing; Beach BBQ! We started in the morning and obviously people don't turn out quite early or as promised (in Brunei) because its kind of a habit. It as good to know that someone turned up an hour early! 

Obviously it wasn't me but John. I have no idea why he was there early. I, on other hand, went on a wild goose chase! Well, not really chasing. I was suppose to get cupcakes from Lof however I forgot to bring the receipt the day before and went off to the office to pick it up. UNFORTUNATELY, I left the office key in my bag all the way in Tutong.

Eventually started to ring up Niz and she just woke up! Hilarious! So I end up calling NJ since he was nearer. Thank you NJ! Went over to his place and took the office key back to the office and took the receipt and our McD chili sauce stash! Head on to LoF to pick up the cupcakes and on straight to Muara Beach.

Came to the beach saw Azran, Ferial and Zierah (Azran's gf) at the parking lot. John and Dayat were at the hut. We started roughly around 10.30am and were waiting for the chicken to be cooked! The heat was also getting on to us that we kept searching for a good shade under the trees. Its a good thing, NJ's "Knox" Burger filled our hunger! It was awesomely delicious!

We had a great Saturday and burnt. Atleast this time our sunburns weren't that bad. Thank you for Sunscreens! We ended the BBQ at 4:30pm. It was scorching hot during the midday but we still hang out and played at the playground. I had a great laugh at Farah's children trying to get their side of the see-saw down while Mirul was on the other side.

They just wouldn't give up and asked for Big Zul to get on their side. Obviously, that lift Mirul off the ground. The kids enjoyed their time! I need to get the picture where Big Zul wins over Mirul on the see-saw. Sadly, there were a few people unable to come for that day. Our events are never complete! Hope there will be one day it'll be all the MMG-ians!

April coming to an end

Yup its the end of the month and quite a busy month for me. Work just got more tense with employee resigning, paper works and yesterday I officially signed with Mixmediaworx to become an official employee. I've been promoted to be HR and Admin officer. I some how hope I can cope with being in this position with being more attached to work.

To make it more challenging, my boss wont be around for a week! I hope I'll managed to get things ready and done or in progress. I need to push myself to the limits. I'm getting old!! xD
I need to brush up and start reading back my textbook for efficiency!

Now, I'm at my sister's home babysitting my nephew Saifullah. He's getting cheeky and adorable! He loves watching his penguin friend show: Pororo. If you change the channel he'll whine and tries to get the remote and press random numbers. Haha. For a 1 year old, thank God he hasn't learn that much!

I haven't had time for myself. I want to watch Red Riding Hood and Fast Furious 5. Right now, I have a dvd to watch, Merong Mahawangsa. Waiting for Saifullah to fall asleep. He still conquers the TV. Here's a youtube trailer for Merong Mahawangsa.

I can't wait to get my leave in the end of May. Going back to Bangkok for the last time before dad ends his contract. I'll be joining my brother, his gf and her sister. LoL, Saifullah tried to climb up on me to watch the Merong Mahawangsa trailer. He sat very still! Then couldn't help it showed him Pororo's website and he was all smiley. haha

The days that follows

Its a bright Tuesday and things are getting better for me. Through out the weekend, went over to my Uncle's birthday celebration. Quite a feast! Food was good, everyone enjoying their time and a well spent Saturday!

The following day, I went over to my cousin's place to tutor two of her children, English. We started around 2pm and ended at 6pm. Why? Her other two daughters played Paranormal Activity 2 and Korean Music Video on T.V. where I was tutoring the other two. Distraction I TELL YOU!

Monday had pizza from the new Mediterranean and Italian restaurant at the end of the block of our office. Sorriso. For me the taste is good i wouldn't mind for another round but NJ was disappointed because the pizza was just TOO THIN for $15! Named it Pizza Cookie! xD

Anyways, even though Tuesday's weather is bright and sunny but I had the worst morning ever. My car couldn't accelerate and that caused me to be late for work because no one was at home to lend me a hand. Luckily called up my cousin for help. Thanks Emih! So I had to be sent to my sister's place and went on a goose hunt for the her car keys!

Came to work before 9.30am and things got better when my boss finally got me an office boy! Hooray!! Now on Twitter, NJ is starting #Bruneibackthen.. with what we used to had back in the good old days....people used to have tamagotchi, pagers, Dr. Marteens shoes, Alien Workshop, watching Fun House and Crystal Maze. Quite good respond and once you look back your memories, you'll start laughing!

Anyways, that's all for now atm. Hope to update soon and NO, I've not reactivated my Facebook. See I'm very committed to what I say. Wait for Friday alright? xD

Another year of Remembrance

Today, I took the day off from work because my family wanted to hold a tahlil  for my late Granpa. I still miss your presence. There were a few missing family members but it was great family gathering even though the heat was on outside! Should have bought ice creams as well aside from watermelon!

My parent are back from Bangkok for their holiday since last week however they'll be returning there this Monday accompanied by my sister and her son. BLAH! Going to miss my nephew if he goes. He grows so fast and getting wiser by the day. Another downside, is to watch over my sister's house while she's gone. Pfft!

I'm also wondering hows everyone doing in the office today without me. I kept getting calls from Niz in the morning but hope that's settle. Then NJ manning the reception area while Niz is out. Haha! This is why we are getting another new office boy. The one we hired had a job offer in the Government. Speaking of which, my dad and sister is haunting me to get a job with the Government which I'm still reluctant to. 

Not only that, its been awhile since I hang out with my best friends. Simply because our timing is never right, work and other priority. I also can't wait for Mas to be back and have another dine out at CoffeeZone for chicken chop! My favourite place and dish that I got Farah (my boss) hooked up on chicken chop! Best EVER in Brunei 

Today, I have officially deactivated my facebook as I want to be focusing more to my work and updating my multiply. More to having a social life. I'll be joining the HSBC walk.run.cycle for a good cause  and probably gaming more instead of just staring the facebook page. This is going to be a bad FB withdrawal symptom. Haha

Oh yeah! Two days ago Kevser chatted with me! Gosh!! We really spent time chatting and funny how we spoke of the chinese Bruneian who embraced Islam is still single that Kevser is still trying to pair us up if I were still in Melbourne. She's still has her plan! Miss Melbourne much!

So much I have been missing lately but I am alright where I am now with a life that gives me wider experience. It's glad to feel focus once more.

Another Sunday another day

Sunday is a common day for Bruneians to attend wedding receptions and yes, I had to attend one today as my college mate from Business School got married! Unexpectedly she’s married to one of my relatives. So the day began with me waking up quite early as I had to meet up at Feez’s house. We plan to carpool with her fiancé and Helmy.

Seems like the world has turned upside down, the fact Feez and I was ready and had to wait for the boys to arrive. And they say that girls take a long time to prepare causing the men to wait. I think it has become a myth. As we waited we both felt hungry and I was sleepy. I came home at almost 2am after watching a movie; Rango, with Nee and her friend.  My eyes still feel tired.

Once the boys arrived, we went straight on to Mentiri which we were a few minutes late but made it in time before people started eating. We saw most of our college mate and it was bit like a reunion which we were supposed to do some time soon but no one wants organise one. Sad much! When life begins to open up, time to spare for others may be lessened.

Speaking of which, my work is piling up and I still haven’t managed to finish my company manual guide book. Seems like I’ll be getting myself an overtime, some day. Not only that the graphic designers are packed with incoming work, that seems endless but it’s good that we have clients who trust our company for the design works.

However, it’s sad to see everyone so beat up and stressing about deadline, that I’m not sure how to make things easier for everyone to reduce their stress and tardiness. I hope tomorrow will be a fine day to work although its going to be Monday.

Reza, Faiq and I went to Temburong to do photoshoot for OBBD from 2nd March - 3rd March but returned to Bandar on 4th March.

Potluck MMG

wOW! Friday 11 Feb was awesome!!! Had Potluck (everyone bringing food to the office) and it was really *can't find the right word for it* but everyone brought and made their own dish which made the table look so colourful and Mint's office filled with aroma~

Food tasted good but there were too much! I don't know what had happened to the left over food as I had to attend my best friend's engagement. One thing for sure the PAVLOVA was everyone's favourite!

Surprisingly, Kyll and Faiq came to the office! Seeing former colleagues was like good time! Unfortunately, Faiq wasn't able to join us and we all got overdose of sweetness! Sugar rush momentum! I even had some of Kilz's pudding later that afternoon! Not good and now my throat is beginning to itch. Hope its just a sore throat without FEVER!

Family dinner at Kimchi. Was an early celebration as my parent had to return to Bangkok a day before my birthday. It was a great dinner and everyone enjoyed KIMCHI!

Temburong Weekend get away

Went to Temburong, a suburb district in Brunei where I found excitement going to the river, karaoking, Christmas open house of the Iban tribe and relaxation at my cousin's house. (25th-26th December 2010)

2011, another year another moment

Yes 2011 is where I will be turning to 27 years old (well already am). With much due info, I've already started working under mixmediaworx. Design firm that designs to your own liking ;) But I don't do the design works, I just do the admin, accounts and HR work. This year, my contract has been renewed and I hope to do more HR work-related. 

Before 2010 ended, I had a great weekend get away especially visiting my cousin at Temburong (One of the four districts of Brunei). It was exciting, relaxing and memorable. I've been to Temburong for the famous Ulu Temburong outward bound for 2 times but never had I came to Temburong for relaxation. Everything was awesome! We had a BBQ (on the stove ), boys played pingpong, Karaoke till 3am and going around Temburong. We also went to one of the Iban long houses for a Christmas open house which was a new thing for me. Never went to a Christmas open house in Brunei.

Great weekend spent is a great way for relaxation! I also spent my last weekend of 2010 in Singapore with one of my bestfriend Kilz. It was a shopping heaven for me but out of that 2 days of New Year...I got myself a back pain. I even couldn't get myself to work on the first day back to work 2011. I had to ask for a leave. Sadly, started work on 4th January WITH the back pain.

I had an early birthday celebration with my family at KIMCHI which was awesome. We just love doing BBQs haha. I don't expect so much for presents this year but I did enjoy my time with my family and not only that, my boss tried to make a surprise birthday at the office on 10th January 2011 which I knew it was going to happened but the surprise didnt go well coz I saw the cake as my bosses were coming in to work. Whoopps! haha!

So far I'm loving my life as it is and hope that the upcoming days in 2011 will bring me my luck! Speaking of Luck, MMG and SPAD had an annual dinner on Thursday 13th January. I won myself a 2D/1N Stay in The Empire hotel and a Bangkok tour package for 3D/2N from the lucky draw. However, I donated the Bangkok tour package for someone else to win which was.....NJ!! He was jumping out for joy after I drew his name out from the lucky draw box.
