W.A.W (What A Week) and a MUST READ for Facebook Users

Yes, I am so exhausted even though this week I'm off babysitting duties until tomorrow; Monday. Last Wednesday finally met up with my best friends excluding Masez as she's still in UK doing her exams. We had our late lunch at Pizza Hut Sg. Tilong. We kind of had a weird chat regarding football jerseys, boyfriends' interests....mostly boys stuff which was rare for us (Girls especially) to talk about. Must be due to World Cup season.

After the lunch, Kilz and I head on to play pool and at the same time accompany her to pay her car insurance but it closed at 4pm and we got there exactly 4pm. So, we went on to play pool and it was kind of an improvement since last week's Saturday we weren't getting any balls in. I miss playing pool since it was the game to play for during my Melbourne years. Too bad there isn't a Korean Pool,Snooker & Billiard bar here.

My first pooling moment after a few months

Anyways, the place was packed with smokers so it was annoying for us to play that we didn't managed to play a full hour and at the same time I was waiting to watch a movie with Eddie. We lasted probably 45 minutes in there and went separate ways. If Eddie really had cancelled the movie outing, then I would have accompany Kilz to Charles and Keith but he made it after his meeting ended.

So went to Qlap Seri Mall an hour early. While waiting, did my prayers and went to a dvd store. Bought those 4 in 1 DVDs all horror stories except one by late Yasmin Ahmad; Talentime. Her final movie before she left this world. Will be watching them with my cousin. We actually started last Monday for a movie date.  Anyways back to my movie outing with Eddie, so met him at the ticket counter and he wanted to pay for the tickets, unfortunately he didn't have exact change so I paid $3 extra. Worst was that we were suppose to watch Ip Man 2 but it was showing in another hour so we end up watching Iron Man 2, which both of us haven't watch the part 1.

Fortunately, Iron Man 2 was alright but I still prefer Ip Man 2 over it. Yes, I've watched Ip Man 2 already last two Saturday ago, ALONE! I wanted to watch it again not only to accompany Eddie but it was mind blowing action and hilarious. So hopefully next week, I'll find time to watch it with Eddie (if it'll still show at the cinema). I was a bit guilty to have the movie outing on, since he had to come back from work late and rush to watch a movie but end up watching something else. Well, at least he told me he had a short nap before coming but also felt guilty he hadn't dinner and I was in a rush to meet up with Dyna. Well, I also hadn't have my dinner that night.

The following day, I slept in. Thursday was all about resting. Haha! Friday, had to go over to my sister's place to babysit and it was the day that he got his hair shaved at Kakak Tateh's new crib. The house looks awesome! Surprisingly, all of the nieces and nephews were there which made the house sound like a play ground. I even watched Upin and Ipin (Malaysian educational cartoon) with them.

We had a great time at Kakak Tateh and went home late. I was really tired and worst thing was I had to wake up early on Saturday because Rahmah was coming over to have English tuition. So I wasn't that freshen up but luckily my brain was functioning well. After lunch I went for a nap...a very long nap. Had 3 hours sleeping and it weather was so nice, it was raining and coolness seems to fit in for a nice sleep.

Today is Sunday and it was another session of being disturb. My elder sister called up for breakfast but I wanted to sleep in, so everyone went except me. Loss? Nah...Had a great time sleeping though it wasn't peacefully. Just hate it when I don't get enough sleep and then someone comes in to wake me up. Then the joy of playing Guild Wars was just amazing for the first time in few weeks, was able to play with other players for PVP, worst thing we end up playing HA and I had my first win playing HA.

Then Al told me that Facebook privacy policy has changed. Anyone who adds application is consider also giving their information away to the third party. I was quite surprised as this thing should not happen. Obviously, there's a reason for privacy and we shouldn't be giving information to other people BLINDLY. It made me open my Facebook and started to delete all the applications. Guess what I had to scroll 7 times to look at the applications I had. So that is more than 100 applications and out of those, I actively use 2 to 3 applications. I was having a deleting application frantic while waiting to go in play HA.

And yes, I had headaches from it that I had to stop playing and give myself a breather. It was obvious, even if you had put yourself on privacy status, as long as you were in a social network, your profile can still be viewed. Al gave me a few links, but I prefer these ones:

But you can read more on reddit.com. Search for: Facebook Privacy Policy and you'll find a list of
them waiting to be read by you

Not only did I remove applications, I even deleted most of my personal information and interests as
it led from one thing to another. Especially cases like identity theft, stalking (That's what I
do best), and ripping off other people. I'll soon have to delete some my online application
friends who help me to level up just to play those applications and that I never speak with. It
gave me two options; delete my account or to keep it low for the mean time. So I chose option
two. Its bad enough for me to have my account delete and lose contacts with my friends who are
so into Facebook as there's no other option except Diaspora (Al also introduced me to this) but
it's not a winning market just by looking at the name, it doesn't sound cool enough for people to
join it.

So, now I will have to watch what I'm doing and post less personal information and photo albums
to be deleted. Funny how I exposed some of my life on a blog yet I'm less worried because I
have control and the privacy policy is not as screwed up as Facebook. So Thank you Multiply!

That will be all for today and as I hope many times, will try to update some more in the future.

Facebook is scary. I shudder at Facebook but it is addictive I must say. I hope Diaspora (www.joindiaspora.com) will be a viable alternative for Facebook and will catch on with the Facebook crowd.

You know, everything we post is like being used for media marketing. Remember the case of the girl's picture being taken and used for Virgin advertisement. Sigh, we want to use the internet for means of communication but it has its side affects.......pffft!
